We are a small family run guest house in the heart of the beautiful rolling countryside of the limousin, France. We have 4 bedrooms and all are en-suite rooms, all have complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary toiletries, shower robes and ironing facilities.3 of our rooms are doubles and we have a family room with a double bed 2 single beds and a travel cot.All our bedrooms have very recently been refurbished. We have a large dining room for breakfast and evening meals and large sitting room with french windows leading to the patio and garden. new for 2008 is our oak panelled games room with Nintendo Wii and selection of games, cd player, large television with video and English channels, a selection of board games and books and compter access. We have also installed an above ground splash pool in our large garden for those hot summer days. The village of Saint Germain Beaupre is quiet and peaceful with a lovely xiicentury church chateau and local bar, and there are miles and miles of uninterupted traffic free walking. We are in fact on the St. Compestella pilgrimage route,this passes directly in front of our house. Not too far from the large town of La Souterraine where there are bars and restaurants to suite everyone as well as shops and sightseeing or the city of Limoges, famous for its porcelain. This part of the Limousin has been affectionately nicknamed "the lake district of France" and we are close to 3 of these lakes with all the activities and benefits they can offer. Keen walkers and cyclists will find a map just outside the village church to some well established walks through the village and surrounding area. For those of you with an adventurous spirit just take your pick of the many roads, bridle paths, tracks and lanes that crisscross this beautiful rural hamlet!
